World Cancer Day celebration : An awareness message walk at Kedamangalam

In connection with World Cancer Day, a Cancer Awareness Message Rally was jointly organized by the Kadamangalam Pappukutty Memorial Library, the Kannan Chira Thaivappu Residents’ Association (KTRA), and the H for H Kadamangalam Unit on Tuesday.

The rally began at 7:30 a.m. from Kannan Chira, with Municipal Councillor Lijilai Ghosh, Library Secretary V.S. Anil, KTRA official Sudheesh Thoppil, and H for H Unit President P. Rajan is leading the participants. The awareness march drew the attention of residents and emphasized the importance of early detection, prevention, and lifestyle changes in the fight against cancer.

A concluding meeting was held at the Pappukutty Memorial Library, where the session was inaugurated by H for H Secretary Joseph Padayatti. Volunteer Captain M.K. Sasi, P.P. Sukumaran, and Naveen K.G. addressed the gathering, highlighting the collective responsibility to spread awareness and support those affected by cancer.

The program underscored the importance of community participation in health awareness initiatives and reaffirmed local organizations’ commitment to public well-being.
