
The Help for Helpless (H for H) Kootukad Unit successfully organized a much-needed Blood Donation Camp in the region. The event, held in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Aluva District Hospital, took place at the Cherupushpam Centre for Excellence Hall in Kootukad.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Dr. Manu P. Vishwam, President of H for H. Following the inauguration, Rev. Father Joseph Maliyekkal, Vicar of Cherupushpam Church, Kootukad, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the noble cause of blood donation and its life-saving impact. Further enhancing the awareness aspect of the camp, Dr. K.G. Jayan, Vice President of H for H, conducted an informative session on the health benefits and safety procedures related to donating blood.
The function was presided over by Unit President K.J. Raju. Several dignitaries offered their felicitations and stressed the importance of community health initiatives. The speakers included Joseph Padayatti (H for H Secretary), M.K. Sasi (Captain), K.G. Anilkumar (Treasurer) and Vimal Babu (Deputy Manager, SBI Ernakulam Regional Office), Unit Secretary Shaija Teacher delivered the welcome address, and M.M. Saneesh proposed the vote of thanks.
In a gesture of encouragement for the noble act, umbrellas sponsored by the State Bank of India (SBI) were distributed to all blood donors participating in the camp. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, ensuring a valuable contribution to the blood bank reserves of Aluva District Hospital.
