The Help for Helpless (H for H) organization successfully conducted a specialised Basic Life Support (BLS) training class for students at Rajagiri College of Applied Sciences, Kakkanad. The initiative focused on equipping the participants with essential skills for providing immediate, life-saving aid in emergency situations.
The BLS class was specifically organized for the first-year students belonging to the NSS (National Service Scheme) Volunteer Group. The program was formally inaugurated by the College Principal, Dr. Laly Mathew, underscoring the institution's commitment to holistic education and community service.
The training session was expertly conducted by C.S. Jayadevan, an active H for H member and a Retired Assistant Educational Officer. He led the instruction, focusing on the practical application of first aid techniques.
The training was delivered by the H for H Secretary Joseph Padayatti, Treasurer K.G. Anilkumar, and Captain M.K. Sasi.
The organisation of the event on the college side was effectively managed by the NSS Program Officer, Smt. P.S. Hitha. The successful completion of the training ensures that the first-year NSS volunteers are prepared to act competently during critical medical emergencies.
