Team H4H

H FOR H is a fully voluntary organization, registered under Travancore - Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955. The membership consists of medical professionals, social activists, teachers and volunteers who pool together their skills to deliver maximum support to the community. Currently there are about 100 volunteers in H FOR H, 30 of them being women.

H FOR H has a management structure which is democratic and transparent. It has an executive body elected by the members. The Executive body then elects the president and other office bearers.

While recognizing that the organization’s primary role is to support the community, H for H also takes the welfare of the volunteers very seriously. Volunteers are organized in groups of 10, with a team leader who is responsible for the availability and welfare of the volunteer in that group. All volunteers are given training on issues of health and safety, legal issues and ethics. As volunteers may have to witness traumatic events, counselling support is also offered to them.

Partners

In addition to the executive committee, members and the volunteers, H FOR H benefits from close association with a number of partners. The local city council, people’s representatives, the local police and road transport department all provide full support to the activities of the organization. Kerala Network of Organ Donation (KNOS) has authorized H FOR H as an agency to add donor information to their organ donor’s database and issue donor identity of organ donation to those willing to donate their organs.
